Who we are
Emergency Dentist in Independence opened in 2025 to give southern Kenton County and the towns around it a place to go when a tooth can't wait. Our dentists are licensed in Kentucky. We're not a call center and we don't pass you along to someone else. The dentist who looks at your X-rays is the one who treats the tooth, in this office, on Madison Pike.
What we do in our Independence office
Urgent dental problems only. That means toothaches and severe tooth pain, simple and surgical emergency extractions, wisdom tooth pain and wisdom teeth that need to come out, emergency root canals, dental abscesses, broken or chipped teeth, lost fillings and crowns, and knocked-out teeth. Each visit begins with an exam and the X-rays that tooth needs. Then you hear what we found, in plain words, and the treatment price comes to you in writing before anything is done.
Some cases need care beyond what we provide here, including some patients with certain health conditions. When that is true we tell you plainly and help you arrange the next step.
Nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation and IV sedation are available for patients who need them. Mention it when you call so we can plan the visit.
When we're open
Mondays and Wednesdays we see patients from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the hours run 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM. We're closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The phone is different: it's staffed 24/7. Our front desk picks up while we're open, and an answering service picks up after that. Whoever answers writes down what's going on and saves you the first open slot. Call on a Thursday evening, a Friday, a Saturday or a Sunday and that slot is Monday at 9:00 AM. Insurance and ways to pay
We accept PPO dental insurance and most traditional dental insurance plans. If you have PPO or traditional dental insurance, we bill your plan for the exam and X-rays. Call with your card handy and we check before you arrive.
